11:11 and under bridge wishing
Ever since I was young I’ve been wanting the same thing
As scenery changes a life I’ve once known
I’ve been longing for a place that felt like home
But home is not a place you can touch
It is not a building filled with stuff
It is an emotion that you can feel
It is the only place that you can be real
They say home is something you know in your heart
But a house was the place that tore me apart
People say that ignorance is bliss
But I’d rather find home than feel like this

You caught my eye and I thought “you’re cute”
You looked at me and you felt it too
I took a leap with no parachute

It was Justin, it was Sarah
Now we’re talking about Aaron
They were all so young
My heart is feeling barren

And two years have been a challenge
There was no way to prepare
I’m getting married without my best man
How is that any fair

And I was so proud of her
She never held back what she needed to say
She had just turned twenty
When her life was taken away

And I had just talked to him
He could always make me laugh
It’s weird to not see him everyday
When he was always part of our staff

And I’ve worked with them all
Their lives had just begun
They had so much left to do
But now they’re forever young
