Drawback

March 15th, 2011

The same place I ignore
For lack of the allure
The knocking on my door
I’ve never felt like that before
The emptiness inside
The only place to hide
Myself where I confide
To know I’d only lied
The pounding in my head
To know what I had said
To trust in what I read
I did to get ahead
Myself and what I lack
Inside of my attack
I’m never coming back
I am my own drawback

Whatever It’s Worth

April 7th, 2022

For what it’s worth
I’m sorry
That this didn’t work
And you think I’m the jerk

For what it’s worth
I’m sorry
You throwing me against a wall
Eventually led to our downfall

For what it’s worth
I’m sorry
That when I needed you
You couldn’t come through

For what it’s worth
I’m sorry
When I was in a collision
You wouldn’t change your vision

For what it’s worth
I’m sorry
Your computer screen
Burned us like gasoline

For what it’s worth
I’m sorry
I felt so alone
When I arrived home

For what it’s worth
I’m sorry
I planned our anniversary trip
Then your guests sunk the ship

For what it’s worth
I’m sorry
I wanted to try
But I was your standby

For what it’s worth
I’m sorry
It took looking in a mirror
To make my loneliness so clear

For what it’s worth
I’m sorry
I learned to live without you
Through these things you can’t undo

So for what it’s worth
I’m sorry

My Bones

January 20th, 2011

Her hair was red
Just like fire
She was my weakness
My desire
She led me to my bed
Then left me all alone
Things never felt right
When I was all alone
Her red hair went away
She never wanted to stay
I loved her
And she let me slip away
I wasn’t a priority
My pain was cause I cared
But any time I needed you
You were never there
I let you play my heart
I let you in my head
I loved you to my bones
But you f*cked me over instead
I didn’t want you anymore
But now my hair is red
And you’re no longer here
So I take her to my bed
