It all started out
As a simple request
Nothing intended
No interest
But it all got too deep – and
Thoughts began flowing
Carried away
I’m not sure where I’m going

I don’t know what to do
I’m so lost in my head
And I try to go forward
But backwards instead
And the clock keeps on ticking
Time keeps on moving
And I am so small
And I am still losing
My mind and my thoughts
They just won’t tag along
And for once I’m not confused
But for once it’s not wrong
And it’s only their opinions
But mine isn’t me
Then when I turn around
I don’t like what I see

Because speaking my thoughts
I get carried away
