I was young when I first met you
You caught my eye and I thought “you’re cute”
You looked at me and you felt it too
I took a leap with no parachute

Take me away, I don’t care how far
Serenade me with your guitar
I’ll write you songs for my repertoire

This is the final battle
It’s me versus my mirror
And when she’s looking back at me
She knows it’s her I fear
As I contemplate my defeat
I wish I were more mundane
But I’ve been made into this vixen
And I won’t ever be the same
These thoughts are circling in my head
And I can’t make them stop
They’re spewing like a broken faucet
That never meant to drop
They have me running down the drain
In fragments that can’t be put back together
And just because I started this storm
Doesn’t mean I can control the weather
I’m bubbling inside
I’m bursting into flames
I’ve been engulfed by my emotions
And my need to end these games
So with one swift movement
My mirror has been demolished
I’m over this war
It’s my turn to say mission accomplished

There’s nothing there to find
My hopes have disappeared
I could feel it
The misty tears running down my cheek
I tried to smile
But I couldn’t

I spun around
Feeling weak and dizzy
I knew I couldn’t change the world
I blinked but I couldn’t see
Everything was so blurry

Everyone’s so hard on me
Watching people tryna find out why
Blurry visions conquer me
Hope brings out my tears
Though I’ve gone through all these years

There’s nothing I can do
I can’t make a difference
Smiles are fading
I’m just waiting
I’m a waste of time
My life’s a waste of time

Hope is gone
Fear has come
Knowing I can never be number one
I laugh at myself
My life is fading
